National Heritage Area - War of 1812 Commemoration Planning

The Baltimore Heritage Area is currently in the process of drafting an RFP to hire a consultant or consultant team to develop a plan for Baltimore’s commemoration of the bicentennial of the War of 1812.

Stakeholders in the commemoration have come together and formed five working groups to prepare for the bicentennial. Following is a list of the working groups:

Gay Vietzke (Superintendent, Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine)

Capital Projects
Co-chairs: Kathleen Kotarba (Executive Director, Commission for Historical & Architectural Preservation, City of Baltimore) and Eric Holcomb (City Planner, Department of Planning, Historical & Architectural Preservation Division, City of Baltimore)
