We help develop new solutions and better responsiveness to domestic violence victims.
Domestic Violence is pervasive throughout our society, and it occurs between people of all backgrounds; it also a leading cause of injury to women and children. The Domestic Violence Coordinating Committee (DVCC) is a product of a Task Force convened in 1984 by the Mayor’s Office to gather information on the growing number of domestic violence cases in Baltimore City. Today the DVCC helps identify and implement improvements in system response to domestic violence and sexual assault through legislation, education, and policy development. The DVCC is overseen by the Baltimore City Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.
